One of my favourite family hotels in Europe, this hotel really manages to combine the ultimate in luxury with family focus so you can relax while your little ones enjoy themselves without feeling the need to ‘shush’ them or curb their shrieks of enthusiastic delight!

Children’s facilities
The hotel has just launched the fantastic Baby ABAMI crèche for children age 6-36 months with highly trained staff (open 6 days a week 10am - 6pm). Club ABAMI is the complimentary kids’ club for children from 3 years and is open 7 days a week until midnight – meaning parents can enjoy a romantic evening meal. There’s babysitting available for the younger ones each evening too.

The white sand beach is a dream with imported white sand - perfect for sandcastle building (you won’t find black sand here - the sand has been specially imported from Fuerteventura). There’s also a beach-style family pool, with gently sloping edges it is ideal for little ones to splash around safely, and the hotel provides water toys for use at both pool and beach so you don’t have to lug them from home with you! Practical items such as cots, sterilisers and listening devices can be requested in-room too.


For Parents
Aside from children’s facilities there’s so much more that makes ABAMA a perfect holiday choice. Sprawling across the hillside surrounding the Citadel is the magnificent 18-hole golf course – which is sure to challenge even the most experienced golfer! With numerous pools spotted around the resort (each one heated all year round) you will be spoilt for choice. The beautiful spa is the place to go to for frazzled mums to relax (I could have happily have spent days in here!) There are lots of restaurants to choose from whether you like Italian, Argentinean, Japanese or Tapas.

Accommodation
The main hotel is home to fabulously spacious rooms and suites with beautiful sea views (there are many interconnecting rooms). Designed in the style of a Citadel, children staying in the main hotel will feel like they’re actually living in a castle – it really does feel that special. The Citadel encompasses a lake filled with three generations of Koi Carp; little ones will just love watching the ‘giant goldfish’ swim around the natural lagoon! Further down through the tropical gardens are the ABAMA Villas. Rooms and Suites in the Villas offer a more private accommodation choice to the main hotel, plus each one comes with a complimentary golf buggy for you to explore the resort!

Location
Situated a short hop of only 25 minutes from the airport, ABAMA sits totally secluded high on a cliff top in the little known area of Guia De Isora. Just 15 minutes away is Siam Park, a brand new water park which is great for a family day out!
