About Country Kids

Country Kids has a recipe for heavenly holidays for the whole family including mum, dad and baby! A Country Kids holiday package includes five-star, luxury accommodation, a mix of on and off site activities for adults and older kids. They offer unlimited use of the crèche for parental bonding purposes, daily cleaning for guaranteed relaxation, and a sprinkling of extras such as four catered meals a week, breakfast delivered to your apartment every morning and a self-serve bar and shop offering fresh baked baguettes, homemade ’ready’ meals, great regional wines and local farm produced delicacies. There is also an arrival shopping pack with lots of local fare waiting for you in your apartment when you arrive.

The Location

Country Kids is based in their own domaine Le Mas Pandit, which is situated between the villages of Octon and Brenas in the Herault department (34) in the South of France. The farm itself is set in 30 acres of beautiful French countryside. On site there is a safety fenced pool, a tennis court, trampolines, ping pong and many more activities for all ages, a children’s petting farm and a magical grotto complete with waterfall and small river. The closest airports are: Montpellier 73 km about 1 hour, Nimes 122 km about 1.75 hours, Perpignan 160 km about 1.5 hours, Carcassonne 164 km about 1.8 hours and Marseille 215 km about 2.5 hours

The Accommodation

Country Kids can accommodate six families at one time. The farm itself was an old dairy belonging to the Roquefort family. In "The Old Dairy" we have four 3-bedroomed apartments and a 2-bedroomed apartment. Close by there is a separate cottage, "The Chestnut House" which has two bedrooms. The apartments all have its own private entrance and outside terrace. The rooms are large, light and airy with high ceilings, light flooding from big windows and masses of original features. The master bedrooms have huge two metre wide king-size beds and second and third bedrooms have twin beds. Each apartment has its own hand built stone and timber kitchen and an outdoor dining area. Each apartment. The kitchens have large fridge freezers, gas hob cookers with electric ovens, microwaves, dishwashers and washer/dryers.

You will feel like you are at home as Country Kids provide guests with all the comforts of home. Each apartment comes stocked with huge fluffy towels, beach and pool towels, umbrellas and chairs. Ipod docking stations, flat screen TVs (with SKY) and DVDs are there for mum and dad, and the kids’ rooms have tons of toys, books and DVDs, which means you can travel light!

For Parents

At Country Kids there is a huge heated swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and chill-out beds for sleepy parents! There’s an honesty bar at the pool with beer and soft drinks available all day. Mum and dad can get some much needed R&R at the secluded, spa area where a therapist offers relaxing massage and beauty treatments.

Included in your holiday package are 2 exciting activities to enjoy- Choose from wine tasting lessons or improving your French, with arranged French conversation lessons at all levels! Tennis and golf along with cycling and mountain biking through the countryside are all on offer for you to enjoy. If you are a water baby just down the road is Salagou where you can go sailing on a catamaran and pedalos. Fishing and swimming are also activities to enjoy! Hiking, mountain climbing and tree top adventures are offered for those who are energetic! Riding through the French countryside is available at Country Kids with its horse and pony riding or why not try a fun horse and carriage ride for the whole family?

Country Kids is located close to many beautiful stone villages, historical sites and places of natural beauty to visit, including protected national parks and forests and gorges and fabulous beaches! Just 30-45 minutes away you can enjoy day trips to some beautiful and fun locations. Why not visit some of the many great beach resorts and port towns. Also close by is an aquarium, a Seaquarium, an insect Micropolis, an Aqualand and trains for the kids to enjoy.

Country Kids hosts communal dinners and buffet lunch for all guests, a wonderful opportunity for mums and dads to relax and mingle with everyone.

Along with the bar, there is an onsite shop which stocks delicious homemade pre-prepared meals, fresh salads to take away, the usual staples you need for the family and a selection of delicious local produce including olives, jams and olive oils.

For the little ones

Country Kids is paradise for the little ones as there is much for them to do and enjoy! There is heated toddler’s pool which they will love. The pool area is safety fenced and has lots of pool toys, a playpen for babies.

Country Kids has a crèche that is open 6 days a week and takes babies from 3 months old up to children of 5 years old but older children are always welcome! The crèche has an indoor space with a ball pond, toys and games, a painting and arts and crafts corner, a sleep area, a changing area and little peoples toilets! Double doors lead out to a covered outdoor space with a slide, ride-ons, tables for outdoor play, dolls and pushchairs and Wendy houses.

The crèche has lots to do- there is fun with arts and crafts, music sessions, storytelling and visits to the sandpit, climbing frame and farm animals. Each day at 16h30 tea is served for all our guests. The kids are given a special tea in the crèche which includes sandwiches and fresh fruit. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 18h00 dinner is served to the kids in the crèche so that mum and dad can get ready for babysitting in peace!

Country Kids has ‘Farmer Stuart’s’ petting farm which is a main attraction for the little guests. With its huge wooden barn and large bales of hay it’s the perfect place to hunt for freshly laid eggs and learn all about the animals. The donkeys, lamas, pigs, sheep, rabbits, chickens, goats and horses love to see all the kids every morning at feeding time. Little ones can also help feed the animals and there are lots of opportunities to pet and sit on the donkeys and horses.
