About Hotel Migjorn:
Migjorn blurs the boundaries between the luxury of an exclusive hotel and the independence of private accommodation. Close to the virgin coves & white beaches of southeast Mallorca. The rural hideaway is a beautifully created, spacious, calm and comfortable place to stay with 10 private apartments and restaurant set out in two different buildings linked together by an 80 square metre swimming pool, terraces, mature gardens and 35 acres of open countryside. With the celebrated beach of Es Trenc only minutes away our guests can be forgiven for deserting the hotel for its golden stretches of paradise sands which reach out into its beautiful turquoise shallows, perfect for family fun as well as sun worshippers.

Migjorn has been awarded many accolades with its biggest compliments and testaments to the success of the Hotel being the high percentage of returning guests with many families visiting twice a year. We are also able to boast a place in SwissAir’s top ten hotels in Mallorca and in the top 500 hotels of the world as voted by Focus Magazine, with both decorations presented within our first two years of opening.

This boutique family escape makes sure that both adults and younger guests are able to enjoy the delicate elegance of this welcoming oasis.

Location:
Migjorn is only a minutes away from the local town of Colonia St Jordi which is maturing into not only an essential communal hub with many amenities but a place of interests with spa’s and the local aquarium as well as a wide selection of restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a coffee by the mariner or take a leisurely amble around its sandy bay which stretches as far as your legs will carry you. Alternatively take a water taxi to some of the more secluded, idyllic beaches and bask on some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline without the seasonal masses.

For Babies:
Migjorn aims to ensure that all the requirements of families with young child are met and hence hold many ‘emergency supplies’ such as nappies, bibs, wipes, formula just in case guests arrive on a Sunday or later in the evening. They also have microwaves which are available on request, though this is subject to demand. The Hotel also has lots of toys ranging activity mats and stations, books and blocks and their magic toy hamper.

Baby sitting can be arranged subject to availability.

For Parents:
Migjorn’s featured evenings are very popular with families and couples alike and are a perfect opportunity to mix with other guests whilst discovering Migjorn’s fare. All of our food is prepared fresh and is in keeping with rustic appeal of the area whilst embracing influences from around the Mediterranean as well as further a field and always includes some attractive child friendly alternatives. These evenings are as formal or casual as you wish as relaxation and a pleasurable menu is high on the menu. Mallorca boasts some fantastic wines and Migjorn has selected many of its finest, with more than enough to fit any given mood.

Dining:
Dining at Migjorn is a wonderful experience and given below is a sample of theirTapas and BBQ menus. These are normally added to with different variations when guests stay for more than a week.
The Hotel not only serves many of their ‘home farm’ produce at breakfast/lunch/dinner but also enjoys sharing them with guests for their own consumption. This also includes their wild herb garden.

Tapas
Pimientos de Pedron – just for more mature guests as these ‘roulette’ peppers can pack quite a punch if you get the right one.
Local Chorizo – this is local cured sausage cooked with sage and pears fished with a splash of apple juice. This is normally a mix of piquant and sweet chorizo but we separate the two when they entertain the younger guests.
Mozzarella, basil and honey dew melon salad - our melons when in season are in abundance.
Gambas – amazing large prawns with a hint of fennel, simple and rustic
Moroccan lamb – simple grilled chops from our recent travels to North Africa with cumin, cinnamon and lemon zest. Authentic and very popular.
Roasted Potatoes – with lots of their wild rosemary.
Charred Garlic Chicken with Cherry Tomatoes - the tenderist of corn fed chicken served with lots of parsley. This has proven to be a popular favourite from our very first season.

BBQ
Migjorn Meat Balls – oh but it’s a secret, lets just say that there is chorizo in them and leave it at that. Better than a burger every time and a firm favourite with children and parents.
Sushi Grade Tuna – simply seared and served with a light dressing
Local Sausage – this includes a local chicken sausage.
Sticky Spare Ribs – cooked nice and slow so they are finger licking good. But watch out for those sauce smiles!
Lemon Chicken – grilled with butter, lemon and local Ses Salines rock salt.
Gambas Skewers – large prawns marinated in a little chilli, anchovies and lemon. So simple. So amazing.

This is accompanied by fresh tzatziki, green leaf salad, carpaccio of courgette with parmesan shavings and of course our garlic and herb roasted potatoes.

The Migjorn Chef often adds to these menus from week to week and also include requests for guests with a little less adventurous palette ranging from fresh chicken goujons with a fresh tomato sauce to pastas dressed in parmesan and butter, basil tomato sauce and pestos. The Hotel is always open to suggestions and will meet every request whenever possible.

Finally, don’t forget the local ice cream that is just heaven!
