Accommodation
Feel like a cowboy in the rustic accommodations of Tanque Verde. The ranch has 74 rooms and suites all done in authentic Southwestern decor, with viga and latilla ceilings and saltillo tiles. Many rooms have fireplaces, patios with expansive views of the ranch.

The ranch offers a variety of rooms types available to accommodate the needs of everyone. Reddington rooms are for 2-4 guests, Casitas are more modern, larger in size and can accommodate upto 6 guests. Sonoran Suites offer the most luxurious lodgings, each suite accomodates 3-8 people with a separate bedroom. All rooms come standard with a telephone, XM Radio, coffee pot, hair dryer, air conditioning, heat, and full private bathrooms. Cots are available on request.

Facilities
The main activity to indulge in at Tanque Verde Ranch is the horse riding. Tanque Verde offers 180 horses to ride over 60 thousand acres of pristine natural beauty. Choose from a stable filled with Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Appaloosas, Paints, and Mustangs. Riding is offered every day, as well as riding lessons for beginner (trail rides) and advanced riders (loping rides). Full-day rides are offered once a week and a breakfast ride out into the desert with a cowboy breakfast is offered at least twice a week. Private rides, sunset rides, lessons on horsemanship, team penning are other activities available. This is all included in your holiday package.

If horse riding isn't your cup of tea, there is plenty more to do at the ranch. There are five tennis courts, three of which are turf and one of which is lighted for nighttime play along with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs as well as a separate wading pool for the little ones, and a nature center where the whole family can learn about the unique desert habitat and the animals that live in surrounding areas. You can also enjoy the unique Horse Whisperer sessions and lectures.

Explore the Sonoran desert by partaking in the fabulous hiking and biking trails offered by the resort. The guided hiking program offers miles of trails for varying experience levels, and treks for the whole family. Other ranch activities include fishing and weekly evening barbecues with live western entertainment.

There is a fully equipped fitness center as well the fantastic La Sonora Spa to rejuvenate and relax.

For the little ones
Tanque Ranch offers a children's program for kids ages 4 to 11 inclusive in your holiday package that run from 7am-3pm by experienced counsellors. There is the Buckaroo Kids club for children ages 4 to 6, and their day might include crafts, breakfast, hikes, and swimming. For older Wrangler Kids is for children ages 7 to 11 and they'll be offered riding lessons, breakfast, swimming, trail hiking, crafts, and fun throughout the day. There is a childrens pool and playground and a babysitting service is available.

Dining
Tanque Verde offers homely hearty meals and snacks three times daily in the lovely Main Dining Room, overlooking the outdoor pool and waterfall, with a majestic view of the Rincon Mountains. Dig into to the delicious breakfast and lunch buffets and enjoy mouthwatering dinners prepared by the Award Winning Chef, Mark Shelton, featuring gourmet cuisine. There are several indoor and outdoor specialty dining events are held each week such as the Old Homestead Breakfast Ride and Cottonwood Grove BBQ and the fun Mexican Fiesta night comes complete with a Mariachi Band and buffet with a variety of Southwestern specialties. The ranch kitchen also caters for the little ones palate and has a special dining room for children where they can enjoy their specially prepared meals.
