The Sunsail Clubs:

Your child will have an experience of a lifetime at the Sunsail Clubs. The excellent childcare facilities available ensure that the kids are having fun every moment, with activities on the water and ashore, face painting or simply quiet play in the sunshine.
The Minnows Club is for babies aged from 4 months to 2 years and is a a fully equipped nursery, with indoor and outdoor play areas, and all the equipment needed for your child’s daytime requirements. Fully qualified (NNEB/CACHE) nannies will give you a full update on your baby’s day from eating and sleeping patterns to the playtime activities they enjoyed. The Minnows club costs £215 per week.
The Snapper Club is for toddlers aged between 2-4 years, who will love the fantastic range of activities provided for them, including swimming, canoeing, board balancing, painting, story time, games, singing, face painting, treasure hunts and ice-cream treats in the afternoons.
Both clubs run from 9.30 to 5pm, but are extremely flexible, and by no means is your child committed to coming every day, enabling your family to spend quality time together too, from playing on the beach to getting out on the water together. Other clubs also run for older children and those aged 5 and above can take part in Sunsail's Sailing Club for free.

  Sunsail Perili
Posted by melissa on 03 Apr 2007
We stayed at Sunsail Perili in Turkey in June 2005. We had our 16 month old with us and I was 28 weeks pregnant with our second.

Perili was beautiful and it was perfect for getting a real break. Our little one was in the Minnows club and I thought he'd take a long time to settle in, but he didn't - he had a ball. I thought the food was excellent, particularly for kids - because there were lots of healthy options.

You basically drop your child off at the kids club in the morning and can then take out a yacht and sail for the day, knowing that your child is being looked after (they get taken to lunch), and you pick them up in time for dinner. Then they have a baby listening service in the evening so you can have a relaxing meal out and meet other people.

On some evenings when meals aren't included and you can go offsite, you put your child in the night creche. I thought that there was no way our child would go to sleep with so many others in the same room, but he did - no problem.

The sailing was great but the lying next to the swimming pool doing nothing was even better.

The only downside to the whole trip was the transfer time from the airport to the resort. I think the website said it took 2 hours - which is long anyway after a 4 hour flight, but the road was completely dug up and has apparently been that way for a while and didn't look as though it was going to be completed anytime soon. So it actually took about 3.5 hours and the bumpy roads weren't great for someone 28 weeks pregnant.

One other small negative was that there weren't any swings or outdoor play things for kids - lots in the creche - but if your children wake up at 5am like mine do, there's not much to do with them around the resort.

But we are going on a Sunsail holiday again this year - this time to Marvarde which is supposed to have a far shorter drive from the airport to the resort. And I can't wait!!

I would recommend these holidays to anyone who doesn't have family living nearby them so don't often get any kind of break from kids. It's a great way to recharge and you still get to spend lots of time with your little ones.
