Fun farm holiday! |
| Posted by Kelly Springhall on 19 Aug 2011 |
| A brilliant week! It was our first time at Coombe Mill and Harry and I both had an amazing time. We both made lots of friends and Harry absolutely loved Farmer Ted who let him ride his tractor with him!! We're very much looking forward to going back. Thank you for having us Coombe Mill! :) |

child friendly fun farm holiday |

Had a super time at Coombe Mill; really didn't think I would enjoy wearing wellies for a week, chasing children in muddy fields, but it was such a fun holiday, with all the comforts too!

Fantastic fun on the farm! |

| Just had to say what a huge success our holiday at Coombe Mill has been. With twins age 18months I was slightly dreading our first holiday but Nick and Fiona were super. We stayed in Honeysuckle cottage. There was plenty of space and even a toy den which the twins loved. Out on the farm rides Farmer Nick and Farmer Ted are so good with the children, it is a delight to watch them build their confidence with the animals and having such fun. A great holiday so well thought out. |

Great family holiday |
| Posted by Louie Coles on 19 Jan 2011 |
| I can recommend Coombe Mill as a great family farm holiday. Our youngster still thinks he can wonder off to feed the pigs even though we are back home! The Fishing lake is pretty challenging but a great escape - very peaceful! There is kit available for the kids, so they had a go too. Accommodation is very varied so worth looking on their web site to make sure you know what you are getting. We went for the cheap lodges which had amazing views but are very small, they have some lovely larger lodges which we will splash out on next time. |

Willowfield Lake Cottages- perfect retreat for parents |
Baby's first holiday! |
| Posted by Jenna Shevel on 11 Aug 2010 |
Dear Terry and Wendy,
Thank you again for a wonderful week's holiday in Swift Cottage - we really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location and Louis had a great time on his first ever holiday! The cottage was beautifully presented and imaculately clean - perfect for a very inquisitive 10 month old. It was great to have baby equipment provided and we made good use of the washing machine! Your facilities were just right for a family get away and we loved having the pool to ourselves on a number of occasions. We would love to visit you again soon and would happily recommend Willowfield Lake Cottages to anyone, particularly those concerned about the logistics of travelling with and entertaining a baby.
Best wishes
Nic, Simon and Louis Wainwright |

Disappointed |

| We went to this resort on the first week of the new season. The rooms were damp and cold and it seemed as if very little effort had been made getting the accommodation ready. It clearly hadn't been heated through. We also had a problem thoughout the week with Ants in the bathroom, which was in need of updating. . The pool was too cold to swim in, although on the website it says its maintained at a warm temperature. All the play equipment needed a good wash. They promise a peaceful vacation but there was lots of electric saw noise as they were rushing against the clock to prepare a wooden cabin for guests arriving in a just a day or twos time. This wasn't great with young children who need a daytime nap. On the plus side, they had a really nice barbecue evening and providing the weather is good you can sit outside and drink wine with the other parents in full view of your gite. It's also a very beautiful location with lots of interesting day trips. They don't have television which we may not bother some people, but is handy to have if the weathers not so good. I can understood why lots of people enjoy this place, but for me there were too many things which just weren't right for me to recommend it. I think it has bags of potential if the right amount of effort is invested by the owners. |

Accomodation with Kids in Mind |
Fab acoomodation, great location |
| Posted by kimworthing on 31 Mar 2010 |
| Accomodation was perfect for a holiday with a toddler. Our daughter was in her element with all the toys supplied. Made for a very easy holiday. 5 minute walk from the resort and beach. Resort was very family orientated. Everything was well organised with a personal touch, from taxi transfer to welcome grocery pack. Would highly recommend. |
