immunisations
Ensure that you visit your GP at least 6 weeks before you depart to discuss your travel plans and establish what vaccinations your family will require.

Although most babies in the UK are routinely immunised against diseases such as polio, tetanus, meningitis and in some areas tuberculosis, babies under 6 months can not be vaccinated against yellow fever and anti-malaria tablets for babies under 2 months remain controversial. Always record any vaccinations taken in an International Health Card.
