Cream me up scotty

Taking creams and lotions on the flight in hand luggage rather than in the hold might seem like a good idea but you are limited to 100ml and must declare it in a clear plastic bag at security so take small or travel size tubes, bottles and pots, or buy in departures past security. (This does not apply to medicated/prescribed creams, lotions or medicines.)

Due to new regulations jars, cartons and bottles of liquids cannot be taken through security and onto flights without you testing them infront of staff, (therefore breaking seals on milk and jar food.) Be prepared to test and keep cold in a cooler bag or buy from the departure lounge after passing through security.
Medicines

Make sure that you pack any infant medicines in your hand luggage, its no good in your suitcase if your baby/toddler comes down with something, especially if you'e overseas and don;t speak the language too well.
